AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Unique weapons
- Survey Corps vehicle
Newest Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
